KITS FOR 10 KIDS  –  An International Service and Literacy project 

To date Canberra Sunrise has sent 130 boxes of Kits for 10 Kids off via the Eastern Region RAWCS Donations-in-Kind Depot at Minchinbury - and it continues … Thanks to a further allocation from the Club, and a donation from a member, there are currently a further 25 boxes (as of 15 August 2008) just about ready to seal and get away.  

The more donated material we can get, the more Kits we can put together under the Club’s allocation.  

The items that are the most difficult to find – at a reasonable price – are the child’s craft/safety scissors.

The other items that are very difficult to find are the bags we put into each Kit so the recipient children have something, reasonably substantial, in which to carry their goodies.
The ideal are the semi-permanent shopping bags that are now in use a lot.  If anyone knows a source please let Ian Sayers know.
